WESTIE LOVERS CLUB PROFILE 
The unofficial West Highland White Terrier (Westie) Club of Singapore (Also known as WHWTCOS) was founded in November 2001 by a group of Westie Dog Owners and Lovers. Through the WHWTCOS as a non-profit and volunteered establishment, the primary aim is to bring together under a common platform, Westie Dog Owners and Dog Lovers in Singapore. In addition, the WHWTCOS also aims to represent the Westie Community and to further the improvement and sharing about the adoption, loving and characteristics of the Westie Breed.
OBJECTIVES OF THE WHWTCOS 
To encourage and promote responsible dog ownership and controlled breeding by educating the general public about characteristics of the Westie breed through the distribution of flyers at Veterinary Clinics, Pet Shops, and Singapore Kennel Club shows, Dog Carnivals and Events. To foster and provide a complimentary platform where Westie owners, doggie lovers can meet to share their experiences, canine and human network and exchange tips through the WHWTCOSs online discussion board and website. To invite both Westie owners and dog owners to join the club as Full and Guest Members. The encouraged moves is to be able to represent members in our affiliated partnership through the WHWTCOSs network of affiliated Major Distributors, Pet Retailers, Veterinary Clinics and Westie Breed Partners. Publishing quarterly newsletters for the community to keep in touch with the latest Trends, general dog owners, Westie Health Concerns, Dog Training and particularly general dog ownership concerns. To further our work, the WHWTCOS aims to bring both Westie and Dog Owners to provide community services to the less fortunate ie Old Folks, Children Homes through the WHWTCOS Pet Therapy Program. To invite accredited groomers and veterinary doctors/ dog trainers to speak at Westie Lovers Club gatherings and sharing more on the characteristics of the breed ie grooming, health care and obedience training on a non-profit basis. Through the WHWTCOS Westie Rescue Program which aims to foster and rehome Westies, WHWTCOS aims to further the work of other non-profit organizations ie Animal Shelters and Foster Homes through working with major dog food distributors in contributing food to the needy dogs and volunteers who run them.
